Emanuel Saakai’s Australian Tour

Emanuel Saakai’s Australian Tour

It's always a pleasure visiting Australia and this year I was able to be there for the 2015/16 summer. My main reason for returning to Melbourne was to attend my FFA (Football Federation of Australia)/AFC (Asian Football Confederation) C License qualification that was sponsored by the FFA and Football Federation of Victoria (FFV). I also had the opportunity to volunteer at football clubs, such as the Darebin Womens Sports Club and I delivered a number of presentations at schools and coaching associations, including AFCAT.

One highlight was visiting Macquarie University in Sydney and establishing a working relationship with a group of talented students for the next six months to develop a fresh and innovative approach to grow Lengo Football Academy.

I am excited to announce we have a new global leadership team in place and with it, a new look with the launch of this new website, social media and an exciting list of programs to develop in 2016.

On a personal note, I travelled to the Byron Bay shire over the new year period. And I was able to experience many different cuisines from around the world, including Moroccan, Israeli, Lebanese, Greek, Southern American, Thai, Tibetan, Nepalese just to name a few.

Thanks to Lengo's Australian Supporters for once again hosting me and supporting Lengo. A very special mention to the FFA and FFV for their continued support and for sponsoring me once again to reach the highest qualification in football. They are committed to raising the standard of football in Tanzania.

Also a special thanks to AFCATDarebin Womens Sports Club and Templestowe College.

Thanks for helping Lengo Football Academy in kicking goals and reaching goals.
