LENGO FOOTBALL ACADEMY
Lengo Football Academy started in Arusha, Tanzania, which is a predominately Maasai area, with a population of over four million people. Although Arusha is the home of world’s famous safari hub, close to the iconic Mt Kilimanjaro, most of the inhabitants live below the poverty line. Despite the struggles, even to afford a half a meal a day, they live and breathe football.

Lengo is the Swahili word for goal and we are about scoring goals for life.
Our team in Australia are all volunteers, which keeps our administration costs extremely low. This means that the majority of donations goes directly to the youth and families on the ground in Tanzania.
Football is globally recognised as a tool to facilitate positive social change, is a practical way to engage young people in their communities and is a universal language that brings people together no matter what their background.
