As the Founder and CEO of an organisation that supports many people from disadvantaged and impoverished background, I am gravely concerned about the impact of COVID-19 on our community in Australia and Tanzania.

Now more than ever, we need to come together as a united community to help and support one another.

We have taken swift measures in both Australia and Tanzania to do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

In Australia:

✔️We have suspended all football clinics.
✔️Our entire volunteer team works remotely and will continue to do so during this time.

In Tanzania:

✔️For the first time in Lengo’s history we have suspended daily football training for our 200 players.
✔️We have written to all parents and families providing them with essential information about COVID-19, including symptoms, the importance of hand hygiene and how to prevent the spread.
✔️We have recommended that all people who are over the age of 70 self-isolate and stay away from anyone who has cold/flu symptoms.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they occur.
