Amani is a passionate and talented football player and coach. His vision is to become a professional football
coach and to continue to support local disadvantaged youth with Lengo Football Academy.
Amani has been with Lengo from its inception in 2012 as a player and has been coaching for the past three years. He is currently running football clinics and camps for private and international school youth in Arusha Tanzania. He does in this in conjunction with other Lengo coaches. He also plays football as part of the Lengo senior team. Recently he has
stepped into the Operations Manager role and is running Lengo Football Academy Tanzania in a full-time capacity. A highlight of Amani’s year in 2017 was leading a Lengo Football Academy contingent to St Petersburg, Russia for the International Football for Friendship Children’s Program.
Amani has been trained on football coaching by Lengo’s founder, Emanuel Saakai. Emanuel is a Football Federation Australia and Asia Football Confederation qualified coach and is employed at a number of clubs and academies in Australia. He has a wealth of experience in Africa, Australia and Europe. He will be continuing with his football coaching education in 2018 through courses and mentoring.
Amani is also a Rap/Hip Hop Artist and has written and recorded a number of songs that
are played on different radio stations in Arusha. His main passion is playing, coaching and
watching football. His supports Manchester United.
